Verse 3
G
Whoo! Whoo!
Come on, come on, on, come
Whoo! Whoo!
I'm absolutely incredible band.
Chris Neal, Daniel Buolossi,
Nick Chambers,
Chris Merrell, Drew Lindsay.
Whoo! Whoo!
I'm gonna leave you with just one more.
This is a this is one that JT recorded originally
on his on his second solo record
called Mountains for us and it
was this the solo record
was kind of the impetus for us getting serious
about doing a project together.
Insofar as it was not actually a solo record.
A
And as much as it was,
yeah, Ali sang and played on every song,
and all the boys played on it too.
But the focus was really right here,
that's what I was asking
from the music listener.
But it really, it seriously was the first time we
had sung on a whole album together.
and we'd kind of guested
on each other's bands' albums.
Like, I've got a band in Canada called Poe Girl,
and JT is a part of JT and the Clouds,
as are most of the boys.
And so we had been like, you know,
musical friends and collaborators for years.
But that really was the solo record,
where we got to sing for an
entire album together,
and we had so much fun,
we thought we've got to turn
this into a project of its own.
And that was sort of the birth
of Birds of Chicago.
And this is one that JT wrote last
for that album
and it's one of my favorite songs of his
that he's ever written.
It's a friendship song
and I really needed to hear
the way it's running out.
This is a, it's a kid's song for adults.
