I was at that stage
where I thought acting was really easy,
all you have do memorize a few lines.
I guess I'm nervous, obviously.
I start to say the lines.
Um, but I'm forgetting them.
So she sends me out
for this commercial audition.
And they're looking for singers.
And the girl looks at me
and she was like,
Did you get the song?
And I was like, Song?
She's like, Yeah, there's a song.

You're gonna be singing
it in the audition.
To be honest, I was skeptical.
And at this point, I'm just panicking.
Like, I know there's no way
I'm going to get this.
And I'm just like, at this point,
hoping that I can survive.

I had one line at the beginning

It was a good one.
She like popped out of a window
and said something.
Totally off -tune.
Super quiet because I was
just so nervous.

You know, I can make a bond.

It can be a total decision.
I had something,
but they asked me to improvise.
And I got really sick,
so I was throwing up.
I drove two hours a day.
I was like, I just spent two hours
in traffic coming up
and I had to spend two more down.
There's so much gas.
I left the room and I walked
into the bathroom
and I cried to my mom.
Obviously, at the end of the day,

and everyone at the table,

well, people's eyes were watering

almost at this point.
And I think I shifted my weight
from one leg to the other leg.

And it was that tiny shift

that something had to be done.
I felt like I needed it.

She made me feel like I needed it.

And just thinking of all the terrible,

bad situations.

And that is fine.
I got down to the last four.
And I got in!
So that was amazing
and I did 29 performances.
I could not get out of there fast enough.
It was a complete disaster.
And as soon as I got home,
those shoes went right in the trash
and I saved up my money
so I could buy some more
suitable footwear.
just felt stupid because it felt
like they knew all along
that they were going to go with
another candidate.
Thank you, but no thank you.
You know, they kind of knew
already they want someone else for
When I got on my final pay,
I noticed that I hadn't looked before,
but I noticed that I never did get this

25 cent an hour raise.
Imagine that.
They didn't give a damn.
What could I do?

I thought it went pretty well.
It didn't go well. It did not.
I just kind of kept going.
Am
I think eventually they had to cut me off.
Am
It's bizarre. It's uncomfortable.
And it made me feel... not good.
And I can't believe that I actually did it.
