Yes,
they
have that same little guy.
He's here every
Saturday night, ballin',
on the little salary he earns.
Man, he spends his money so freely,
you'd think he's got money to burn.
But after all is said and done,
only fools have fun.
Now that little gal that's dancing with him,
she's odd and strange, man, she never heard of before.
Ah, but what does she care?
After all, she says, not her dog.
But when she wake up in the morning with a hangover,
she can't get to her grits
And that so -called fool had to go to work,
so he got up and split
But he's a nice guy, he left her a note saying,
here's two dollars, it was wonderful, my pet
So she ended up with
Sophie from dancing, a hangover from drinking,
an d two dollars, and all wet
So af ter all is said and done,
only fools have fun
When you see that cat sittin' at the bar,
man, he sure got beautiful hair.
Man, his hair so wavy and curly,
his identity ain't there.
But I'm gonna let
you in on a little secret
I've seen that cat before
you get up out of the bed
He's easy to identify
With that black scarf on his head
But man,
do I need to go any further
You know who he is
He's my soul brother
So after all is said and done
Only fools have fun
